Hello Summer! Well, it’s actually still Spring for a couple of weeks here and my friends in the northern hemmisphere are heading for Winter, but in Australia we are so hot we are on fire (quite literally)! We are in dire circumstances here with terrible bushfires, so we are thinking of all of you in the crisis zones.

You may even have your copy if you preordered in advance!  I’m excited to be back coordinating the blog tour for One Thimble, it’s such a pleasure to work with these talented editors, pattern designers & bloggers!Screen Shot 2019-11-13 at 7.11.57 am.png

Who doesn’t love pockets? They are an absolute essential right?

Screen Shot 2019-11-13 at 8.05.28 am.pngThis was a real challenge for me! I had to create a pattern piece (my first digital drawing) and a sewing tutorial while on the road to Uluru! We were travelling 8,500km with poor to zero internet service with just my husbands work laptop and a plastic souvenir ruler to aid me. But I still said yes haha!

I was limited to the programs pre-installed on my husbands computer, so I had to create the pocket pattern piece in Microsoft Word & I was unable to sew along as I created the tutorial, but I think I did ok! When we got home I was able to test it out and take the pics for the tutorial. Let me know what you think! I tried to make it as easy to follow as possible, and also able to be used as a pocket hack on any skirt, pants or dress pattern you might like to use it on.

I love this version sewn by Alison of Little Seren. She loves the Jolie pattern and uses it often in her online storeScreen Shot 2019-11-13 at 7.14.11 amHave you got your copy of One Thimble Issue 22?
